This semester, the Imagine That students will be finding all kinds of things to do in any kind of weather. As I introduced the theme to my Tuesday 9:30 class, I was delighted to hear the following from one of the boys in class:
Miss Heather: This semester, we're going to talk about different kinds of weather. Maybe it will be sunny, or windy, or maybe even snowy!
Vin: Miss Heather? Current conditions and airport delays. Currently it's sunny.
I am so glad that I'll have a budding meteorologist in class to help our class navigate the many kinds of weather! Evidently, Vin really enjoys the Weather Channel.
Does Weather Affect Your Child's Mood? (article from Wondertime Magazine about the weather and it's potential effects on your child's mood and behavior)
Books about Weather (list of preschool books about weather from EverythingPreschool.com)
Try these activities from PreschoolRock.com:
Sun Painting Activity
Bubbles and the Wind
Weather Experiment: The Rain Cycle
I think the forecast for this semester calls for lots of fun!
